How to store and reheat your cookies Keep your cookies at their best.
Miroza cookies are best the day you get them. Here’s how to keep them soft for longer, and how to bring the center back to life when you want one warm.
-
On the counter
Up to 3 days
Keep them in their box or an airtight container, somewhere cool and dry, away from sun and heat. On hot days, when the room is warmer than about 25°C, use the fridge instead.
-
In the fridge
Up to 7 days
Seal them in an airtight container so they don’t dry out or pick up other smells. The fridge firms them up, so let them sit out for 20 minutes or warm them before eating.
-
In the freezer
Up to 1 month
Wrap each cookie on its own, then put them in a freezer bag or airtight container. Thaw one in its wrap on the counter for about an hour, or warm it straight from frozen.
Warm them up, gently.
A few minutes of heat softens the dough and melts the ganache or Nutella center again. Times are a guide, since ovens vary.
| Method | From the counter | From the fridge | From frozen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oven at 175°C | 3 to 4 minutes | 5 to 6 minutes | 8 to 10 minutes |
| Air fryer at 150°C | 2 to 3 minutes | 3 to 4 minutes | 4 to 5 minutes, after 15 minutes on the counter |
| Microwave | 10 to 15 seconds | 15 to 20 seconds | Thaw first |
- Oven and air fryer: put the cookie on baking paper and heat it until the edges are warm. They give the best texture.
- Microwave: the quickest way, but it can dry the edges. Eat the cookie right away.
- Let it rest for 2 minutes. The center gets very hot, especially Hazel’s Nutella.
- Don’t overdo it. Too much heat makes the ganache oily. Warm is enough.
- Warm only what you’ll eat, and don’t refreeze a cookie once it has thawed.
